Rx Bandits are a five-member band based in Seal Beach, California. Their musical style is an eclectic mix of ska, punk, progressive rock, and reggae.

The band started out amid other popular southern California ska-influenced acts such as Reel Big Fish and No Doubt. Of the original line-up, only singer/songwriter Matt Embree and drummer Chris Tsagakis remain. Their first two releases were recorded with bassist James Salomone and trombonist Rich Balling. Upon signing to Drive-Thru Records, the band released the album Halfway Between Here and There, a straightforward third-wave ska effort, though lyrics in songs such as "Gun In Your Hand" hinted towards the political leanings which would be evident in their subsequent releases.

They are notable for their strong political views, which they share with fans through periodic website posts. They have toured with such bands as label mates New Found Glory and Finch, as well as with Desa, The Exit and Keziah Jones. They have also appeared on the Vans Warped Tour.

Their live shows are known for being highly energetic, with pre-rehearsed jams in between songs. They perform extended versions of many numbers; they fall somewhat short of being a full fledged "jam band," however it is fair to say that they exhibit musicianship live that is not captured by their recordings.

With 2001's Progress, the band took a huge step forward musically.

Considering how much the average indie fan likes ska I’m pretty sure the term prog-ska is going to make the run screaming into a corner with their fingers in their ears. However that’s the best way to describe the latest masterpiece by the Rx Bandits. Like a Mars Volta who can actually write memorable SONGS, remember those, the Bandits mix punk and reggae with jazz and progressive rock with jaw dropping skill. If this record doesn’t have you playing air drums you A) don’t have arms and it’s alright or B) are deaf.

çok çok sıkı bir konserdi, minnacık mekanda, salladılar sahneyi vallahi.

bir ara ön grubun davulcusu da katıldı şova bir de perküsyon girince üç davul birden dambada dumbudu seyirciler birbirine giriyor stage diving falan derken birdoksanlık boyuma bakmadan sahneye çıkıp atlayacaktım ben de neredeyse.

birkaç favori parçamı çalmadılar, örneğin in all rwanda's glory, nugget, analog boy. sonra bir düşündüm de bu parçalar konser parçası değil pek. aslında nugget güzel olurdu ama tek tromboncu ile çıktılar, sanırım küçük mekanlarda çok nefesli olan parçaları ve reggae ağırlıklı parçaları çalmıyorlar. genelde sert ve hızlı parçalar çaldılar.

hey gidi, rx banidts dağıldılar mı bilmiom albümleri bi değişik olmuştu en son ama kopmuşum bu gruptan..

ne anılarım vardır bu grupla. megadethin holy war şarkısını coverlamışlardı. çok iyiydi. elinde olan var mı o şarkı? mp3lerini bulmak zor.

rx banditsi bayıla bayıla dinniyorum eski normal ska hallerinide sonraki o değişik işlerinide. sözleri düzenlemeleri herşeyleri harkulade davılcılarıda şahane. hala orjinal ve güzel birşeyler yaapabilen ender gruplardan

ilk duyduğumda inanılmaz gelmişti bi ska grubunun holy wars çalması, baya bi virtüözlük gerektiren bi şarkı o
soulseek'ten buldum, harbiden çalmışlar, gerçi soloları biraz kırpmışlar gibi ama hakkını da vermişler cidden
